10 Sports That Deserve Truly Great Video Games

Rugby's worldwide popularity continues to gather steam in major areas like America, but it somehow still seems to be immensely difficult for video game developers to get right. Recent rugby games have dramatically failed in their attempts to capture the blend of free-running athleticism and attritional tactics that makes the game so fascinating.

While EA have managed to perfect their American Football prospect through great management of "dead ball" scenarios, the same just hasn't been transferred to rugby. In truth it should be a no brainer; we should not be in a position where 1997's Jonah Lomu Rugby performed better on the PlayStation than Rugby 15 did on the PS4.

It may take someone stepping back from seeking licensed teams and players to have the right gameplay focus put into a rugby game, but the sport's future publicity would be all the better for it. I can live with spending my time leaping for high balls as full back 'Leigh Tuppence' in a rugby game so long as the experience feels realistic!
