10 Subtle Details That Make Skyrim WAY More Interesting
7. Astrid Hidden Dialogue
This puts the changing of the Imperial Oath to shame and you will have likely never come across this naturally in the game as it requires you to chop and change quest-lines in a peculiar way. It involves both the Stormcloak questline and the Dark Brotherhood one.
Should you continue through the Dark Brotherhood quest-line up until just before Astrid gives you the quest to go to Solitude and kill Vittoria Vici at her own wedding, then play through the entire Stormcloak quest-line and start the siege of Solitude, you will get unique dialogue from Astrid.
She will condemn you for ruining their plans, before ordering you to go and sort this mess out before you can even acquire the quest. It makes sense, but the fact that Bethesda has considered every combination of conflicting quests and set up fail-safes is quite admirable.
