10 Surreal Gaming Easter Eggs You Won’t Believe Exist

4. Commitment To Music - Mario Kart 64

Batman Arkham
Nintendo

When you manage an especially masterful race in any racing game, it's almost tradition to watch your character zoom around the map for another lap or two before you continue on - just to really let the joy of knowing how to make an imaginary car speed around an imaginary track sink in.

However, what most of us wouldn't do is sit and watch as the music loops sixty-four times; firstly because that would take like an hour, and secondly because it takes a serial killer's level of patience.

Should you, for whatever reason, manage this, though, you'll be rewarded by music changing - which, for the record, is not enough of a reward that you should ever consider doing this.

While it's not that big an easter egg - in fact, many think it was a coding error that prevented this music from playing way earlier - it's certainly interesting to know several people have sat and watched Mario circle a long-finished racetrack for an hour of their lives. An hour they cannot get back.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
