10 Terrible Ideas You Won't Believe Were Ever Implemented In Video Games

1. Anything Peter Molyneux Has Ever Thought Of (And Will Ever Think Of)

Why Peter Molyneux is regarded so highly is one of the biggest mysteries in life for me. Every game he has touched, been near or even been remotely involved with has turned into rubbish. I know he was the brains behind Populous, but honestly the game was hyped up far too much and wasn't good enough to give him the ego he has right now. It's only redeeming quality is that it was the first "God" game, but it wasn't exactly good merely because it was first. Just looking at every game he's been involved with, it's been hyped up to unreachable heights only to turn out to be very mediocre game. He's always made promises of amazing features, only to push something out that would be at best, described as average. Peter got lucky with one game, Dungeon Keeper. Since then he's been sitting on this throne of godliness, imagining himself to be some sort of game designing guru. Why it is he's seen as a leader in the gaming industry is beyond me. Sid Meier has created 2 gaming series which are world-renown and all financial successful. Koji Igarashi is the producer behind the Castlevania game, a series that has been around for at least two decades. Shigeru Miyamoto is who we have to thank for great games like Star Fox, The Legend of Zelda and Super Mari Bros. Hell, Todd Howard led the creation of Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls games yet he's not as recognised as Peter Molyneux. Every year he has promised nothing short of wonders, yet every year he has shown us nothing but disappointment. Close to every idea that he has pushed into a game has caused that game to be a flop. Although many claim he's got enormous passion for the gaming industry, I see nothing but a man who's been at it for 20 odd years and has yet to get it right, although his ideas may seem good the way he implements is nothing short of spectacularly bad. He ignores the advice given to him by other, more learned individuals and goes ahead with his implementations. After watching Curiosity turn into a failure I really want to see what he's going to do with GODUS because in all honesty, I could give you another 10 points purely with what Peter does with games.
