7. Army Of Two
What We Expected: A futuristic sci-fi shooter that, going by its title alone, would boast some pretty impressive against-the-odds action set-pieces.
What We Got: It's fair to say that you can probably glean from the game's title and cover that it's geared towards co-operative play, and if you can't find a friend to play, then you have to team up with the computer. The name of the game is all about drawing enemy fire onto yourself while your teammate completes the objective, and then the idea is to reverse roles...but that's all there is to it, ad nauseum. The story is garbage, the characters are forgettable, and the campaign itself doesn't sustain momentum long enough (nor last long enough) for it to be anything more than a monument to failed promise. And the follow-up games didn't really seem to learn a lot from its mistakes either.
