10 Terrifying Unkillable Video Game Enemies

2. Nemesis From Resident Evil 3

Back in the day, Resident Evil wasn't an action title that saw you effortlessly cutting down hordes of the undead with machine gun fire and then suplexing a bunch of them. No, the early Resi titles almost single-handedly inventing the survival horror genre, characterised by making the player feel somewhat powerless with limited ammo, unwieldy controls, and enemies that were difficult to bump off. Or, in the case of the third in the series, impossible to bump off. The third in the series took that survival horror concept - the controls didn't let you run-and-gun - and ironically ran with it, since the titular antagonist Nemesis - that huge hulking uber zombie - would frequently show up at random, and couldn't be killed, and all you could do was try and slow him down, then leg it. Which is not the sort of frenetic action tank controls can really deal with. Double the terror!
