Alien Isolation isn’t a whimsical light-hearted adventure so it stands to reason a lot of things are going to go sideways in your cat-and-mouse game with one of gaming’s scariest big bads. If you haven’t finished this one yet I’m throwing in a spoiler warning and I’ll catch you over on Number 7.

This particular terrifying video game truth concerns the ID cards that can be found around the station.

Resident attentive player and WhatCulture commenter, Black Winter, pointed out that while some of these ID cards can be attached to nearby dead bodies, others are trickier to access, though all have a picture of said MIA person on it.

Toward the end of the game, you find yourself exploring the Alien nest. Here, you come across dozens of victims with their chests burst open. Each of these victims can be matched to an ID card, cementing that each of those missing people met with an especially horrific fate, being dragged down into the nest and infested with an Alien. Yikes.
