1. Alma (F.E.A.R)
Taking out an adult villain is one thing, but having to face a villain that looks like a little girl and is seemingly there waiting for you at every turn is a completely different thing. This is a girl that just loves to mess with you: she even giggles sometimes while passing you. Throw in the psychic powers she possesses and you have a little girl that is hell-bent on scaring you. She looks like she was taken right out of the movie "The Ring" and is plenty scary enough to give a grown man nightmares. The one thing that may be scarier than the character herself is the mystery that surrounds her, and unlocking that mystery becomes the first priority as soon as she first appears in the game. Alma may be more terrifying than all of the other characters on this list combined and the fact that a small child can be so scary is a testament to the character herself.
