10 Things No One Wants To Admit About Red Dead Redemption 2

2. The UI Is Trash

With a game that employs this many systems on top of and alongside one another, it can't be easy to come up with a functioning user interface, and sadly RDR2's weapon and items wheels leave a lot to be desired.

The main problem is that to equip weapons or consumables, you're required to awkwardly select the item in question and then release a trigger button, but it often proves unresponsive and you may find yourself having to select the item a second time in order for the game to register it.

This can of course become frustrating during the heat of battle, and it's yet another instance of the game putting up barriers for what should be a most simple and straight-forward activity.

It probably would've made more sense for items to be selectable with a button press rather than requiring the player to perform some mild controller gymnastics and hope for the best.
