10 Things NOBODY Wants To Admit About Battle Royale
1. They're Here To Stay (For The Worse)
Just like Tetris 99 has proven, there is no other game mode that has the sustainability and sheer consumer support as the Battle Royale.
As long as they continue to innovate and challenge the status quo of classical multiplayer, the genre will strive on to newer and bigger heights.
This is most certainly is a bad thing.
The genre is inherently based on anti-consumer practices and general frustration, whether it be the microtransactions, leveling systems, or even the massive concentration of 12 year olds regularly dominating the leader boards, dropping slurs left, right and centre as they go.
But in this never-ending nightmare there is no escape. The only thing to do now is bide our time and hope there's another, less awful trending game mode on the horizon.
Where we dropping? Hopefully straight to hell where you belong Battle Royale, and I'll see you there, whether I want to or not.
