10 Things Only GTA V Fans Understand
4. Random Research Projects
Gun-Running offers some of the more enjoyable avenues in terms of both business ventures and spoils of your work. Beyond just making things explode, you can add permanent and powerful upgrades to your arsenal.
In addition to creating and selling contraband to NPCs in the free-roam world, the activity of Gun-Running allows you to research new ways of blowing things up, which everybody likes doing. The only problem is the order that the research is completed in. Namely being that there is no order.
Research Projects can yield powerful items like hollow-point rounds and vehicle gun turrets, and not-so-powerful things like special liveries and paint jobs. When you get your team to start research, you have no control over what they work on, the game just picks from the available projects at random.
If you’ve got money to burn, you can fast-track the project to be completed instantly. However, if you’re not made of virtual money, you’re at the mercy of the game to pick whatever upgrade it feels like.
On top of all that you have to wait over three hours for the project to complete, and you’ll probably have to resupply too!
