10 Things Only People Who Own A PS4 Will Understand
Sorry, what was that? I can't hear you over the sound of my PS4 fans working overtime. Again.
The PlayStation 4 is arguably one of the greatest video game consoles we've ever gotten our hands on and one of the best selling consoles of all time (currently coming in at 4th place for global sales). After the poor launch of the PS3 it was great for Sony fans when the PS4 had a successful launch, followed by a healthy life all the way up to the next generation of consoles.
The PS4 is quite an odd console however. For what should be a very simple system, the console has a lot of quirks that have become ingrained in PlayStation players across the globe. Some of these quirks are harmless but just seem to crop up a lot, whereas others can be infuriating to have to deal with on a regular basis.
The PS2 may be the console of nostalgia, but it can't boast as many peculiarities as the PS4, and who knows if the PS5 will have a similar range of recognisable quirks.
One thing that is for sure however - any PS4 owner will recognise the things on this list.
10. Accidentally Pressing The Share Button And Pausing Everything
Picture this.
You're playing an online multiplayer game and you're getting closer to winning the game. You're on the edge of your seat. You see your target and begin to shoot at them, but in the chaos you accidentally push down the share button rather than the thumbsticks. The game stutters for a second, before you're pulled out of the game and asked if you want to share a screenshot or a clip.
You're killed as you rapidly hit the circle button to get back into the game, but it's too late. You're already dead and all your work was for nothing.
The share button is a great feature and really useful for when you do want to share what you're up to with your friends, but it can also be really annoying as it's quite an easy button to press by accident.
Even in single player games it can be easy to forget that it's not the select button. You can actually toggle the settings for the share button to make it not interrupt your gameplay, but most people don't realise that this is even an option.
