10 Things Only Star Wars Battlefront 2 Fans Will Understand

6. Immediately Triggering The Officer's Battle Command Ability

It's a familiar scene at the outset of every match; we watch the introductory cut-scene and line up ready to begin.

Once we have control of our unit and the players begin to move out, every Officer on your side immediately triggers their Battle Command ability; we don't even question it, it's just par for the course.

Obviously the rationale behind this is that the player wants to affect / encapsulate as many ally players as possible within the ability's range, and where better to do this than the starting line?

The Battle Command ability itself buffs all nearby allies, increasing their resistance and movement speed, and basically granting everybody a much needed (although short-lived) boost.

There is actually very little sense, then, in using it at the outset of the round, as its effects will likely have worn off by the time you actually encounter any opposing forces.

Continually boosting your allies, however, works towards the completion of in-game milestones which in turn grant you better, more powerful weapons and mods.

And there's the rub, by using this ability at the very beginning of a match, you don't necessarily help your teammates, but you definitely help yourself.
