10 Things Only Star Wars Battlefront 2 Fans Will Understand
5. Shooting Down A Starfighter With A Pistol
One of the biggest and most impressive spectacles in Battlefront II is the sight of fighter craft swooping in low over the battle field, so close to the player that you can see the whites of the pilot's eyes (okay, maybe not THAT close).
Running around on foot, exchanging blaster fire with Stormtroopers, only to have a TIE Fighter come crashing down into the ground ahead of you is truly a sight to behold.
So too is the sight of an infantry unit trying to shoot down said fighter with their sidearm.
You know you've done it, we ALL have, though ninety-nine times out of one hundred we barely even hit the ship to begin with, let alone actually bring it down.
So why do we try it? It's all kinds of fun, that's why.
Seriously, how much of a Han Solo-esque badass would you feel if you actually pulled it off?
Standing directly in the line of fire like Jack Nicholson's Joker staring down the Batwing (though with a less ridiculous gun), the potential reward is well worth the risk.
Now, you can easily shoot down Republic Gunships using the Heavy class' Explosive Sentry weapon, but that's just not as much fun...
