10 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Final Fantasy VII

8. The Tiny Bronco And Buggy Disappear Into Thin Air

During their journey through Final Fantasy VII's overworld, the party acquires a variety of vehicles to gain access to different areas and continents. The Buggy is the first; it is given to the player by Dio of the Gold Saucer and it allows them to traverse rivers (handy, seeing as there are a few ahead). The party also acquires the Tiny Bronco after the events in Rocket Town; it's a plane that gets shot down and then functions as a boat. The ultimate vehicle is acquired (well, stolen) by the party in Disc 2 - the Highwind. An airship and the fastest way to get around Final Fantasy VII's world, it takes mere moments to traverse the whole thing. Once you acquire the Highwind, you'll pretty much use it as your sole method of transport; why would you use anything else, after all. The game actually wants you to do this too, as once you've acquired the Highwind, the Tiny Bronco and Buggy will vanish into thin air. No reference is made to this in-game so you probably won't even notice, it's a slightly weird fact about the game (perhaps the vehicles vanish to prevent the game from wasting memory?) but given the bizarre nature of much of VII's world, it's perhaps common to find your vehicle suddenly missing.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
