10 Things Video Games Need To STOP Doing
1. Ridiculous Tutorials
Dear Developers,
Hi, me again. Just dropping you a line to say that I actually went to a shop and put money on the counter to buy this 18-rated horror extravaganza that you put together. I bought it knowing that it may contain scenes of gore and horror. I bought it fully prepared to be in a fight for my life from start to finish.
You see, this isn't my first game. I don't think anyone is sitting down and playing this sort of game on their £450 console without having played games before.
Oh sure, there's going to be kids out there who are playing their first game on this console, but they'll be playing games aimed at them. They certainly won't have their mitts on your game which requires perfect control all the way through else horrible deaths will befall the protagonist.
So, with that in mind, wh include the exact same tutorial as those first play kids' games? Why do you insist on teaching me that I need to move the Left Stick on my controller in order to move?
