10 Things We Want To See From Skate 4
2. MMO-like Online Play
In previous Skate titles, the world around the player is populated by fellow AI-controlled skaters who are just as likely to be scoping out spots and trying to land tricks as you are. This, combined with the open-world nature of the game, gives the player an almost tangible feeling of life in the city around them.
So, seeing that over a decade has passed since the last instalment in the franchise, it seems like the perfect time for EA to go one step further and offer Skate 4 players the opportunity to link up with their friends and explore and skate the entirety of the game's map online.
Imagine a GTA Online-like experience where you and your friends could explore the in-game city and its various skateparks while also being able to take part in a multitude of different competitions, races and challenges.
I grant you that it might be a bit of an ambitious concept, but until very recently it seemed like Skate 4 was never going to come, so if prayers are being answered, I for one think we need to try and will this into reality.
