10 Things You Didn't Know Your PS5 Could Do

6. Turn The DualSense Off With The Press Of A Button

The PS5's DualSense controller is undeniably one of the greatest gaming controllers of all time - a veritable Swiss Army knife of comfort, functionality, and tactile feedback.

Sony has attempted to streamline as many of the console's interface options as possible through the PS5, though because they barely talked about it, you might not know that you can indeed turn the DualSense off with the (long) press of a single button.

While many have surely spent the last two-plus years opening the PS5's system menu to turn the controller off, you can cut this step out entirely by simply holding down the DualSense's PS button for 10 seconds.

It's a great way to conserve the power-hungry controller's battery, and despite being a feature of both prior PlayStation generations, it's still something Sony doesn't make nearly enough effort to remind players of.

Now, if Sony wants to make this feature even better, they can allow players to customise the button press length to turn the controller off, or better yet, just knock it down to five seconds, because isn't 10 a bit too long for us impatient gamers?
