10 Things You Didn't Know Your PS5 Could Do
4. Use A Mouse & Keyboard
Another unsung PS4 feature which carried over to the PS5 is the ability to use a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller, as will be a matter of preference in games such as Call of Duty: Warzone, Fortnite, Cities: Skylines, and Final Fantasy XIV.
The PS5 supports wired mice and keyboards via USB, wireless via USB dongle, and also those connected via Bluetooth, ensuring a large number of modern consumer mouse/keyboard setups should work with the console.
In addition to being used to play a small but growing selection of games, a mouse and keyboard are also invaluable if you need to do a lot of typing, given that typing with the DualSense is slow and clunky no matter how you do it.
While you'll miss out on the DualSense's awesome haptics if you go this route, for some games a mouse and keyboard just feel more intuitive. Plus, options are always a good thing, right?
To connect a mouse and keyboard, go to the PS5's Settings > Accessories sub-menu and follow these instructions depending on the type of devices you're using.
