6. Ancient Stone Tablets/Triforce Of The Gods
Nintendo had two games that very few people outside of Japan managed to play, primarily because they were broadcast satellite games. Legend of Zelda: The Ancient Stone Tablets and Triforce of the Gods were two games that were released in 1995 and 1997 and were usually broadcast twice a day for 30 minutes during a short set period. Although you can get your hands of the ROM files on-line, they're both a rare find a difficult to get running. If you're a major fan of the series though and loved Link to the Past then get out there and look for them!
5. Zelda Had Its Own Cereal
Growing up during the early '90s there were a lot of cereals based on games and cartoons knocking about in the local supermarket. I never got to enjoy them that much due to them all being crammed full of sugar, but did you know Zelda got its own cereal brand? The cereal box was called the Nintendo Cereal System and was divided in two. One half was for Super Mario Bros and the other half was dedicated to The Legend of Zelda. The Zelda half had berry flavoured Links, hearts and shields and came with a sticker of a random Nintendo character and gave children the chance to win a NEW Power Pad or a Super Mario cereal bowl.
