10 Times Video Game Button Prompts Got WEIRD

5. Do Magic - Smackdown vs Raw 2009

This seems especially fitting as the WWE just loudly and boldly celebrated the 30th anniversary of The Undertaker, who debuted at Survivor Series 1990. Why, the celebration even prompted Vince McMahon to utter 'WWF', a phrase we haven't heard in years!

The Undertaker's backstory is...well...convoluted. He's an ex-mortician / Lord of Darkness / patriot badass biker / brother of a horribly burned Kane. Depending on story needs, he has summoned lightning, made things burst into flame, and returned from the dead.

In Smackdown vs Raw 2009, we are presented with an Undertaker who can 'Do magic' during a match. Actually, he can do magic in general, including turning potential opponents into zombies backstage. In the midst of matches, however, we are presented with a prompt to perform a magic attack. Hitting the button makes Undertaker put his hand up like he's an eager child who wants to answer a question in school, thereby freezing or stumbling whoever is under his control in the ring.

It's bizarre because the rest of the game is pretty faithful to the shows - sets, entrances, theme music, wrestler looks; all are well captured and look good. In the midst of that, you have Undertaker acting like a Mortal Kombat character.

It's just jarring.
