10 Times Video Game Heroes Messed With Time Travel
4. The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Majora's Mask is a highly stressful Legend of Zelda game. The rather angry looking moon will crash into Termina in three days, wiping everything from existence.
Link's job is to use the Ocarina of Time to rewind back to the beginning of the game. He retains all of the important items he gathered before returning to the past, allowing him to achieve the impossible task of gathering all the Mcguffins from temples across the land.
Link can also use time to observe NPC patterns. They follow a strict set of instructions throughout the three in-game days (or 54 minutes of real time), so you can use this to your advantage. Maybe there's an NPC you need to get an item from to unlock a door, but he only leaves his post during the morning of the third day.
Perhaps it's for the best that Majora's Mask doesn't necessarily follow all of the rules of time travel. After all, Link doesn't have a whole lot of time to save the world. No need to make it any more stressful than it already is!
