5. Corvo Attano - Dishonored DLC
Arkane Studio's Dishonored stands as one of the best franchise debuts of the last decade. One of its more memorable moments came with its ambiguous characters. Originally we were playing as Corvo Attano, looking to take revenge on those who framed him for the murder of the Empress.
In the Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches DLC, the series flips the script, and puts the player in Daud's shoes. After assassinating the Empress in the pack's opening moments, the elusive blade wielder feels a sense of remorse for the deed, seeing how it plunged Dunwall into chaos.
He sets about tracking down a manipulative witch in a bid to atone for his actions. In the latter half of Brigmore Witches, Daud comes face-to-face with the man he framed. Depending on your choice between a high and low chaos playthrough, Corvo will let Daud live. The former royal protector silently acknowledges that the assassin has changed his ways and leaves to finish off the rest of the Dunwall conspirators.
Daud goes on to face the witch Delilah in a surreal, hazy conflict that sets up the events of Dishonored 2. Thanks to some great voice acting from Michael Madsen, the assassin became one of the more standout characters in the original game.
