Sometimes the best reward is just a good laugh. I mean, why else play a Sam and Max game?

In the third season of Sam and Max, The Devil's Playhouse, Max gets a variety of psychic powers. One of which is to read the minds of others. Now, while this is of course a vital power in solving the numerous puzzles across the game, this is still Sam and Max, so you can just use it to have a good laugh.

Be sure to read literally everyone's mind across every episode of season three, as every brain you probe has some little joke to tell. From the first episode's villain's crippling insecurities to Sam's many strange digressions and flights of fancy, every time the player uses the mind-reading power on another character, they are consistently rewarded for it.

Sam and Max season three is the pinnacle of the joke-a-minute structure of the TellTale Sam and Max series, and the mind reading powers are a big part of that.
