10 Times Video Games WASTED Big Actors

6. Christopher Walken - True Crime: Streets of LA

There are few unique humans out there that can get away with essentially playing themselves and yes, Christopher Walken is certainly one of them.

In his later years, Walken has become more of a human-shaped cameo than anything else, whereas in his earlier days he was surely trying to become the character more. Just look at Deerhunter for example.

Then when he was cast in True Crime, the devs basically turned him into a soundbite machine. Walken was seemingly reading off these lines as if he was taken a break from his day job. You could picture him reading these off his sofa in a smoke-filled room, with a microphone shoved in front of him.

In fact, some of these deliveries sound as if Walken wasn’t aware he was even acting.

Someone honestly made their dream come true when they convinced Activision to cough up the money for this casting and good on them, but damn is this some of the cringiest acting in gaming.
