Each GTA game became increasingly loaded with hidden details for an increasingly large fanbase, and Grand Theft Auto V's secret phone calls are the best example of this.
GTA V features dozens of unique phone conversations between the three main characters that happen whenever you do something you're not supposed to.
The calls can be triggered when you steal another protagonist's car, kill or harm their family members, or even assault their house with a rocket launcher.
Each phone call is unique and fully voice-acted, which is genuinely impressive considering they're not related to the story or gameplay in any way. Most players wouldn't even think of doing some of the things that trigger these scenes.
Rockstar didn't really have to go the extra mile, but they did anyway, just so that your random outbursts of wanton destruction could feel that much more immersive.
And honestly, whoever thought of making phone calls specifically for protagonists attacking each others' houses deserves a raise.
