Santino Marella thinks you're a loser, but it's OK - he played one on TV too, so he knows what he's talking about here.

In SmackDown vs. Raw 2010, he of much comedic genius appeared in one of the 'Road To WrestleMania' stories to tell player CAWs, "You're what some loser would create in a video game". Then, Mr. Marella's character turned to the camera, raised an eyebrow (this was either pre or post-monobrow, it's hard to recall) and winked.

This direct fourth wall breakage is probs one most players have forgotten. Going back to play these SmackDown vs. Raw titles, specifically to enjoy their bite-sized story offerings, only makes one feel the need to bleat about the lack of such fun in modern-day 2K games.

They were whimsical, sure, but Santino's antics were also always entertaining. Why don't 2K display this kind of true-to-life characterisation in their releases today?
