10 Tips For Playing Bloodborne

10. Ignore People Who Bemoan The Difficulty

Presumably, if you've bought the game, you've already completed this step to some degree. All the bellyaching and complaining about the difficulty level of Bloodborne hasn't been enough to keep your from parting with hard-earned cash in order to play it. But still, if you go into the game with the mindset that it's balls hard and kinda unfair, you're not going to do all that well. Which sucks, because it isn't that hard. Okay, it is, but it's never unfair. Often when people are nostalgically remembering the incredibly difficult titles of the 8-bit era they're wistful for games that were difficult partly by design, and partly because games were at the start of their lifespan and people didn't know how to make them user-friendly yet. Bloodborne is not that kind of old-school difficult. Bloodborne is difficult in that, unlike Call Of Duty, it doesn't lead you through a scripted story, reminding you what button to press when to kill everyone. Don't expect to be patronised, and you'll do just fine. Do expect a challenge from Bloodborne, but don't assume it'll be gratuitous.
