10 TV Sitcoms That Would Make Great Video Games

3. Taxi

Taxi, the beloved ‘70s and ‘80s sitcom, didn’t feature an awful lot of actual taxi driving. The ensemble comedy spent more time in the dispatch garage, for budgetary purposes (as well as the fact that you might get a little bored if the show went too deep into the minutiae of the job).

Taxi: The Game will right that wrong. Choose from the roster of colourful wheelmen - everyman Alex, artistic Elaine, wackily mysterious Latka. The New York City of Taxi is a crazy place, though somewhat less riddled with crime than the city of that era would really have been.

Dispatched by Louie (with the ever-game Danny DeVito hopefully returning for voiceover purposes), the Taxi game will be an update on the model established by The Simpsons: Hit And Run, only with a greater focus on the actual everyday duties of a cabbie.

With tight driving mechanics and a dedication to capturing the visuals of ‘70s/’80s New York City, this game will give players the chance to experience life as a cabbie, only in a world where you’re primarily tasked with picking up supporting sitcom characters.
