6. Female Gamers (also known as "oh sh*t, SHE ACTUALLY DOES THIS)

Due to the appalling amount of maltreatment female gamers face (in this I mean the actual female gamers, not the "gamer girl" cam-models), it is fair to say that plenty of them (unfairly) feel the need to actually legitimize themselves in the eyes of their (ignorant as hell) male counterparts (have I apologized for my gender enough yet?).

While in some cases, this is refreshing, to actually see women who don't pretend to like games just to follow the crowd, this has led to a few cases where the girls adapt some of the qualities of the try-hard, and... well... they try way too hard to sound like "one of the guys", although this isn't a bad thing except for extreme circumstances. However...

These are the ones who will scream profanity into the mic, slander your family, insult your "manhood" or your sexual prowess, claim you're a virgin or... well... pretty much say the same potty-mouthed vernacular that any average Joe would, just that the typically gender-neutral shit talking takes on a male form. They'll talk shit, back it up, kick your ass, and likely leave your thunderstruck self at the lobby score screen, happily ridiculing you along the lines of "so how's it feel to be beat by a girl, d*ckhead?!" - quote from my friend's girlfriend, as she absolutely destroyed his best friend in Tekken 4

My opinion on these? AWESOMENESS! There is nothing as fun as finding someone who likes the same things you do, and even better when they're legitimately into it, rather than claiming they are, just to fit in. Whereas most of this list is full of people who'd likely put you off, what's so wrong about girl kicking ass at a game?
