10 Underused Pokémon You're TOTALLY Wrong About
3. Absol
Absol is criminally underused considering it’s a key component in one of the best strategies for increasing physical attack stats. The fact it’s only a Dark-type Pokémon will have players overlooking it in competitive matches, as dual-types are typically considered a more strategic choice.
It’s worth mentioning that Absol’s physical attack stat is already insanely overpowered, so using a strategy that boosts its attack any further is a surefire way to have opponents screaming ‘hacker’ at their screen.
The reason players are so wrong in disregarding the Disaster Pokémon is because of its hidden ability. It can be used for the ‘Justified Beat Up’ strategy, which sounds like a term for condoned bullying.
Justified is an ability that raises the users physical attack stat every time it’s hit with a Dark-type move. In a doubles match, having your second Pokémon hit Absol with the dark move Beat Up, will skyrocket its physical attack stat by up to four points, as it can hit four times. The move will do little damage as Absol is a Dark-type Pokémon.
With this strategy, Absol is capable of sweeping entire teams, making players TOTALLY wrong for not choosing this cute bundle of pure death.
