3. Star Fox Wii U
NintendoNintendo conferences are often hit and miss. For every Bayonetta 2 announcement there is a Wii Music. For every Zelda there is a Wii Party U. To many fans, Wii era Nintendo abandoned a lot of Nintendo franchises that gamers loved. Luckily, the Wii U seems to be more like the Gamecube than Wii, and after the conference Miyamoto announced that he was working on Star Fox Wii U and that it would be out next year. Sadly, we have no footage to show you. The only real information we have on this title is a three mode prototype that was shown to the press behind closed doors. Utilising the gamepad, players will use the left analogue stick to steer, the right analogue to do barrel rolls, and the gamepads gyro sensor to aim. While motion controls can often be disastrous, the previews for this control scheme have been glowing so far. The interesting control scheme combined with the potential for stunning HD space battles has me salivating at the mouth. This was a game that fans have been praying for for eight years, and one that many assumed would never come. Without a doubt one of the biggest surprises of this year's E3, keep your eyes peeled for more Star Fox U news in the future.
