2. Wine Paradox - Dishonoured
Many were quick to dismiss the choice/morality system in Dishonoured as another binary, boring ending generator. Yet whilst that may be slightly fair of the endings, there are some other factors you can manipulate in the game.
They can be quite large choices, like what you do to your targets in whether they die or are removed otherwise, that affect the course of the game. How you shape the fate of the future depends on your attitude to those that wronged you, in the grand scheme of things.
Or, you can dick about with them first.
Near the start of the game, the as-yet-to-betray-you Campbell is having his portrait painted by the artist/inventor Sokolov. The chap has a decanter of wine next to him that you can help yourself to.
Nothing more, nothing less. Can't preemptively crack him over the head with it though.
But if you take this away, you'll notice it doesn't appear in the painting as it would if you'd left it alone. It's only small, but a great piece of continuity and causality to mess about with.
