10 Upcoming 2018 Video Games That Will Struggle To Live Up To The Hype

2. Quake Champions

Quake Champions
Bethesda

This one’s a biggie. The last addition to the main Quake series was 2005’s Quake 4, and after more than a decade of its dedicated fan base demanding more, 2018 will see them get their just rewards.

... or will it?!

The major disappointment about Quake Champions is it will not be released on consoles due to “hardware limitations,” which is industry slang for “Get on my level.”

That said, it will still have more than its share of swarming PC masses waiting to get their hands on it, and if the early access reviews this past August were anything to go by, Quake Champions stays true to the franchise’s main themes. Those being moving around at lightning pace while praying your reactions are swift enough to get just one kill in before you’re next slaughtered from some angle.

Thirteen years removed from its previous major release, will Quake Champions have its diehard legions quivering in their boots?
