10 Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games To Get Excited About
2. Metroid Dread
Nintendo's E3 conference really did steal the show at the entire event. Not only did they provide some much-needed insight into games we already knew about, but they also threw a whole new host of them our way, including this. Fans were eagerly waiting for news of Metroid Prime four, but instead, they got Metroid 5, and it was one hell of a consolation prize.
Metroid Dread is the first original 2D Metroid game since Metroid Fusion from 2002, so it's safe to say it's been a long time coming. The game will see you once again take control of the iconic Samus Aran as she faces off against terrifying robotic enemies from the planet ZDR.
The return to the classic formula is exciting, but there's also a tonne of new concepts that look set to make this a great Metroid title. Running and gunning will no longer be your primary objective, as the new robotic enemies also require stealth, adding a whole new challenge to the franchise.
Plus, the art style is already mesmerising, as the trailers are an absolute visual feast that fans cannot wait to get their hands on after 8 October 2021.
