4. Everywhere
First conceptualised back in 2016, Everywhere has been the brainchild project of three ex-Rockstar employees leading a small team of just thirty members working remotely across the globe. And yet, it has already been teased as a potential 'GTA killer' in the making.
With a tagline centred around what it means to 'represent yourself digitally', Everywhere has been touted as being an ambitious trailblazer for not only how players play games, but also how they watch, share and interact with others. Developers Build A Rocket Boy have used their action-adventure game MindsEye as an example, only being accessible through the free-to-play Everywhere.
This premise of a game serving as an entry point to other games is all a bit Metaverse to us, and we can imagine it being one of those releases that needs a few months on the shelves before most are convinced, but there's no denying Build A Rocket Boy's ambitions here. Whether it's late to the party or not, it'll be fascinating to see what Everywhere's impact is on the gaming world.
