4. Destiny (2014)

If there is one word I had to use to describe Destiny, it would be "ambitious". The latest game from Bungie is an open-world first-person shooter role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic future. Though details remain scant, Bungie have said that the world will be "alive" and has the potential to react out of the developer's control, while the game will also allow for seamless in-game matchmaking that the player will not acutely be aware of.

Other features include mobile phone updates as to how the world is changing while you're not playing, and though I love Bungie's ideas, I'm always skeptical when something this potentially great abounds. While the developer obviously has an exemplary track record with their work on Halo, something this out-there is going to either be make or break...
