10 Upcoming Video Games Doomed To Disappoint

3. The Elder Scrolls Online (2014)

Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls is a vast world that has taken us on a number of wildly engrossing missions over the years, and of course, it was just a matter of time before Bethesda opted to turn it into an MMORPG, in The Elder Scrolls online.

However, with the MMO landscape waning as it is - with Star Wars: The Old Republic bottoming out and World of Warcraft's membership slowly dropping off - is this really an opportune time to be preparing yet another MMO game?

Aside from the fact it's being developed by the as-yet untested ZeniMax Online Studios, MMO titles that aim to release simultaneously on consoles and PC don't generally have a very strong reputation, the suggestion being that the game has been "dumbed down" to suit the controls and technical specs of the consoles in question.

Plus, with a world as vast as this, how on Earth is a no-name developer going to be able to do justice to it, even if they have been working on it for over 5 years?
