10 Upcoming Video Games That Deserve Way More Hype

9. Total War: Warhammer

So why isn't this being hailed as the most exciting prospect since Ensemble Studios announced the development of Halo Wars? Just as Ensemble's name is synonymous with the Age Of Empire games, Creative Assembly has made a name for itself with Total War. The latter series is considered by many to be the pinnacle of RTS gaming and yet, Total War: Warhammer hasn't exactly set the world on fire so far. Granted, Warhammer fans are going to be slightly disgruntled by the fact that there's only going to be four playable armies at launch (Greenskins, Vampire Counts, Empire and Dwarfs) but the developer haven't ruled out more playable races down the road. Total War: Warhammer isn't the first of its type to attempt an adaptation of Games Workshop's eternally-popular tabletop game (and probably won't be the last), but it certainly has the budget and potential to realise the dream of pitting a thousand-strong army of Orcs against a line of steam-powered dwarf cannons and watching the red mist that results in glorious real time.
