Release date: Q1 2016 Driving tanks around an arena trying to blow up your buddies is a reliable, long-standing formula in video games. There's really no need to change its core gameplay from the NES classic, Battle City. Just throw in some pretty graphics, some satisfyingly destructible environments, and you're away. Zarvot is essentially just that, a minimal tank shooter with a focus on power-ups and multiplayer battles. The controls are simply move, dash and attack, but the gameplay is wonderfully chaotic thanks to the variety of game modes and options on offer. You might be fighting your friend while trying to avoid being crushed by a giant spiked ball, or be battling them in a plain arena that rotates every few seconds, throwing your sense of perspective out of whack. The game has a stripped-back style in which everything is made up of little blocks that upon being shot go up in the air then lie around the arena like your little brother's lego castle after your football decimated it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dnCvYjBwKU Let us know your favourite upcoming Xbox One indie game in the comments, and create an account if you'd like to write for the Gaming section!
