8. World of Warcraft
Blizzard are known for having some pretty great cinematic trailers. Almost all of their releases are accompanied by and incredibly high quality animated trailer. The Wrath of the Lich King was no different. I am always impressed by the visual fluency of Blizzard's cinematics, having a great sense of spacial representation and smart editing, especially during it's battle sequences. Look those up because this isn't that. So why pick the Wrath of the Lich King trailer? Well, because it was one of the most 'iconic' stories in WoW's overarching narrative. Those of you who have played Warcraft 3 will know the story of the Lich King. Blizzard essentially took their main character and pulled a Green Lantern/Anakin Skywalker by having him becoming the series main antagoinst. This expansion was the continuation of that story. Because of all the story weight, the foreboding tone and of course, a gorgeously rendered skeleton ice dragon, I think this is a damn exciting trailer.
