2. Nolan North - Nathan Drake (Uncharted)

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past decade, you will most certainly be familiar with Nathan Drake and this is all down to Nolan North and the writing team at Naughty Dog.

That’s not to take anything away from the rest of the design team; they have crafted one of the best game series to ever grace our consoles but, as is the case with many of these entries, it is the performance of Nolan North as Drake that draws you into the story and makes you care about the character.

Uncharted would have enjoyed success without North as it is such a well crafted experience, but the character of Drake grounds all the crazy action with his quip happy personality; making the Uncharted series the closest thing we have to Indiana Jones on console.

In Uncharted 4, North brings a previously unseen vulnerability to the character as his adventures begin to take their toll on Drake and those he loves. North allows the writing team to craft a story that delves further into the character, safe in the knowledge that he will be able to tackle anything they threw at him.
