Undertale is, in many ways, a game for gamers. The reliance on messing with classic tropes, in-jokes, and tough gameplay moments are like personal treats for those who adore the medium. As such, it's no surprise that it comes with an exceptionally tough boss fight for those willing to seek it. But, by god, you've got to be brave to tangle with Sans.

Getting to the Sans boss fight requires a few things, the most important being patience, skill, dedication, and a lack of empathy for the inhabitants of the Underground. You'll only encounter this boss fight if you complete one of the game's infamous "Genocide Runs."

Therein lies the first challenge, as this requires you to kill every single creature in each area, which can be a true chore. But, if you kill everything, you'll eventually be forced into this particular duel, and just like the game says, "you're going to have a bad time."

Sans is a real back-breaker of a fight, coming at you with insane attacks. He throws projectiles, a tough-to-dodge Blue Soul mode, and plenty more your way. Hell, it's even implied that he is self-aware, pointing out that he knows you can save and restart, doing so a few times himself.
