This is yet another boss encounter that combines the horrible task of completing a demanding series of requirements to unlock the fight, THEN the fight itself being an absolute controller-killer. As if NieR: Automata players hadn't suffered enough already.

This phenomenal action RPG features an NPC named Emil, a beloved character from the first Nier. He appears in the sequel as a merchant and quest-giver, however, you can find a more dangerous side to the character if you take the steps required to achieve one of the game's secret endings (Ending Y), morphing Emil into a horrendous boss.

To get the fight, you must fully max out every available weapon in the game and finish the "Emil's Memories" side quest. Once you eventually get to the battle, it's no easy feat, as you must contend with an army of massive Emil heads who strike at you with devastating bombs and laser attacks. The boss is also level 99, which really helps turn up the heat.

This is a really easy encounter to miss and an even harder one to finish once you've gotten started.
