10 Video Game Bosses Who Need To Hide Their Weaknesses Better

3. The Icon Of Sin - Doom II

After slogging your way to the end of Doom II, you'll face off against the game's final boss, the Icon of Sin - a monstrous, horned demon-face plastered to a wall which can make short work of unprepared players.

But the Icon of Sin also makes no effort at all to hide its glaring weakness: the fact that its brain is exposed in order for it to spawn demons at a moment's notice.

Firing rockets at that brain is the key to victory, though it's admittedly a little easier said than done, as you need to use a moving platform in the room in order to get the correct vantage point.

Also, waiting until the platform reaches its crest will result in a misfire: your rocket needs to be fired just a moment before the platform reaches its peak. Hit the brain a few times, though, and it's all over.

Of course the real treat of battling the Icon of Sin, however, is using the the "idclip" cheat to clip through the wall of the creature's brain and find perhaps the ultimate video game Easter egg: Doom co-creator John Romero's severed head on a pike.
