10 Video Game Bosses You NEVER Get To Fight

1. Hugo Strange (Batman: Arkham City)

Arkham Knight isn't the only game in the series where Batman doesn't fight the main antagonist - this happens in Arkham City, too, with the cunning and intelligent Hugo Strange.

Not that we expect every single one of Batman's villains to be given an amazing boss fight on par with the series' best, but since Strange was one of the main bad guys of this particular game, it would've been cool to be able to battle him in some way, if only to see how Rocksteady would stage an encounter between Batman, and a normal human man with no combat skills to speak of.

Instead, Strange had his back stabbed (quite literally) by Ra's Al Ghul, revealing that the two villains had been in cohorts all along. Strange then slowly bleeds out, activating an enormous explosion with his dying breath.

Ra's straight-up murdering Strange was a pretty cool twist, sure, but still, it did sting a little for the intimidating and magnificently-bearded Professor to be turned into a glorified henchman in his final moments, rather than being given an epic boss battle send-off - something that we know Rocksteady is capable of achieving.
