10 Video Game Bosses You Never Got To Kill

Yakuza 0's brutal final boss fight sees Kiryu facing off against Dojima Family lieutenant Keiji Shibusawa, a coldly calculating, power-hungry psychopath who wishes to defeat Kiryu and be known as the true Dragon of Dojima.

The battle is a tough slog to get through, but once you finally whittle Shibusawa's life bar down to nothing, a cutscene takes over in which the villain continues to taunt Kiryu, prompting him to punch Shibusawa's face into a bloody paste.

Just as it seems like Kiryu's going to keep going until Shibusawa's no more - with the antagonist's encouragement, no less - he's tackled by Nishiki, who insists that killing him simply isn't worth it.

And so much to players' disdain, Shibusawa is dragged off to jail rather than the grave, and hasn't appeared in any subsequent entry into the series. Fans will have to take solace that maybe, just maybe, he got shanked in prison instead.
