10 Video Game Characters That Deserved To Die (But Didn't)
2. Nadine Ross - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
To be clear, Nadine Ross is one of the greatest characters in the Uncharted franchise, but she also can't be trusted any further than she can be thrown.
Nadine was introduced in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End as an utterly ruthless mercenery-turned-treasure hunter, hired by primary antagonist Rafe Adler to discover the mythical pirate colony of Libertalia.
Throughout the game Nadine is shown to be a substantial physical threat, holding her own against both Nate and Sam in a fight, and at the end of the game she leaves the brothers for dead along with Rafe before disappearing into the night with some treasure.
As much as the franchise might be embarrassed to admit just how much of a psychopath Nathan Drake himself is, Nadine's wafer-thin sense of loyalty to anyone but material goods probably should've led her to a brutal death by game's end.
Instead she survived and even co-starred in the spin-off title Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, where her edges were softened somewhat as she teamed up with franchise alum Chloe Frazer.
Though The Lost Legacy ends with Nadine going into business with Chloe and seemingly putting her mercenary ways behind her, that doesn't fully forgive her sordid past.
