10 Video Game Characters That React To You Being A Creep - Commenter's Edition

"Eyes up here, buddy."

Over the years, video games have offered countless hours of entertainment, epic boss battles, memorable music, and cherished characters.

But another thing that video games provide is freedom. There tends to be a set goal in every platformer, RPG, or beat 'em up, but there's nothing stopping the main character from mucking around.

Sprawling open-world titles like Skyrim or GTA offer so much flexibility, it's challenging not to mess around a bit... or a lot. As a result, players may be incentivised to disobey orders, blow up stuff they're not supposed to, or in some cases, misbehave with the NPCs.

However, certain characters are programmed to react if somebody checks out their unmentionables or performs a lewd act. Moments like this initially catch players off-guard since they didn't realise they were being watched. But at the same time, you have to appreciate the developers had the forethought to know exactly what gamers would try to do.

Even though we've looked at this subject before, our eagle-eyed fans found ten more games that made players feel like a total creep. (It was an accident. I swear.)

10. The Receptionist - Doom 3

First-person shooters wouldn't be what they are today if it wasn't for hellish blaster, Doom. Although id Software's magnum opus is renowned for revolutionising the genre, it also deserves credit for popularising Easter eggs. In each entry, secrets can be discovered, which can take the form of action figure collectibles, hidden dialogue directed towards the players, or the decapitated head of the creator.

And when it came to Doom 3, the devs couldn't go five minutes without slipping in an easy-to-miss gag. After the anonymous marine is transferred to Mars, a receptionist will present him with a mini-computer called the PDA, which will assist him with his mission. After obtaining the PDA, the beefy hero is expected to carry on to see the rest of the facility.

But if he refuses to leave, the receptionist will get noticeably creeped out. If the marine looms behind the employee, he'll write a message on his computer, which reads, "I would also like to add that this new transfer is exceedingly rude. He has hovered over me reading everything I type. STOP IT!"

The marine may have saved the solar system many times, but that's no reason for him to be impolite.
