10 Video Game Characters Who Died (But Came Back To Life In The Sequel Anyway)

3. Kane - Command And Conquer

Kane is the bald and highly melodramatic villain of the Command & Conquer series who acts as the head of the mysterious religious movement known as the Brotherhood of Nod.

He appears in pretty much every single Command & Conquer title, commanding the forces of his very own cult… even though he dies in just as many of them.

Yes, Kane has the most deaths under his belt out of all the characters in the series, and that’s because he has about three of them (even more if you count the novels).

Each of his ends is more gruesome than the next, from dying in an explosion to getting vaporized with an ion cannon. The games typically make it a point to explain how Kane made it out alive out of each of his very much lethal conundrums, and sometimes the attempt on his life leaves him with permanent scars on his body.

Of course, you could argue that getting vaporized with a huge space laser would give him more than a few burns, but then again, this is a series with cryogenic prisons and communists escaping capitalism in spaceships we’re talking about.

You really shouldn’t expect it to be too realistic.
